Christmas, a little at a time

Christmas, a little at a time

Christmas does not need to arrive all at once. A few things to hang, one to light in the evening, and one tall piece for the corner of the room — and the house is ready without a trip to the loft.

Here is how we would start in November.

To hang

The embroidered stocking (43cm) is cream, with a soft fur trim. There are two embroidered designs and we send a mix, so each one is a little different. Hang it by the fire, or from a hook on the end of the stairs.

The pinecone and cinnamon wreath (29cm) is small and made of the things you would expect: pinecones, acorns, cinnamon sticks, berries and a few bells. It suits the front door, or a hook in the hall.

To light

The LED glazed house is hand finished with a natural reactive glaze, so no two are the same. It is 7 x 14cm, with cut-out windows — a small glow for a shelf or the windowsill. For something even quieter, the 13cm ceramic tree is meant to be left on in the evening.

One tall piece

The antique gold tree (59.5cm) stands on its own round base, with open, leaf-style branches and a star on top. Put it on a sideboard or a hall table and leave space around it. If you prefer white, the large scalloped ceramic tree (26cm) is hand-finished and a little different each time.

To give

The stocking, the glazed house and the 13cm tree are the easy ones to give. UK delivery is complimentary over £40. Shop gifts or see the Christmas edit.
